About us (English text) Εκτύπωση E-mail

Welcome to The Auto Business Review Journal, the most authoritative scientific publication in the Greek automobile market. ABR is a quarterly journal, featuring top-class material that would surpass the expectations of the most demanding connoisseur of the automotive sector.

One of the fundamental axes of our work is to provide accurate and timely industry analysis, identify current trends and developments and see how all this translates into automotive marketing action. An additional dimension of ABR's initiatives is to organize motor shows (www.sportscars.gr) and support events that trigger interest around contemporary industry issues.

The direct involvement of ABR in the Eco Cars Show (www.ecocars.gr) demonstrates our deep concern on issues pertaining to the motor industry's path towards alternative fuel technologies. A strategic  Auto Business Review partner is the Hellenic Society for the Protection of the Environment and the Cultural Heritage, a non-for-profit organization that actively collaborates with ABR in organizing successful conferences - such as the March 16, 2009 meeting titled "Peak Oil Production".

With the support of the Greek Association of Motor Vehicle Importers and Representatives (www.amvir.gr) we have successfully organized seven conferences (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th  Annual Automobile Business Conference) and are now preparing for the execution of the 8th AABC. The themes of the first seven AABC events related to "The Block Exemption Regulation", "Road Safety", "Automobiles & the Environment", "Future Vehicle Design Trends", "Auto Taxation in Greece & the E.U.", "The Competitive Environment in the Greek Auto Market", and "The Future of the Automobile", respectively (click here to learn more). It is worth mentioning that the AABC Project is executed with the collaboration of the Anatolia Automotive Institute, a division of Anatolia, an academic institution with a remarkable history of more than a century in the academic field (www.anatolia.edu.gr).

ABR stands out for another important reason. It represents one of the few Greek publications which elaborate and show a deep concern on vehicle, road and pedestrian safety issues. So far, our articles have included an array of related subjects - such as stories on Rest Areas and Travel Plazas, Variable Message Signs (VMS technology), Safety at Road Works, Daytime Running Lights and updates on the latest Euro NCAP results.

Supporting and organizing events that trigger interest around road safety issues ranks high among our priorities. We have successfully coordinated the 2nd Annual Automobile Business Conference (2nd AABC) - Vehicle, Road and Pedestrian Safety - that was held in April 2004 under the auspices of Anatolia and the support of Volvo Car Hellas. With the aim to systemize the organization of safe driving sessions with groups of university students, our primary objective is to sensitize young drivers and thus combat fatalities within the critical age category of 18-24. In this direction, we collaborate with Anatolia College and the car market for auto safety educational purposes such as seminars and practical training.

We strongly believe that our commitment in the automotive sector would be greatly enhanced if we had the opportunity to collaborate with other key industry players. Such a recognition would increase the validity of The Auto Business Review Journal as a source of credible information and influence within the European car market. On the other hand, the benefits of such a liaison would expand manifold for collaborating firms as they would participate in a unique automotive project that would differentiate them in the marketplace.

If you think that room exists to collaborate together, we would be glad to hear from you and see what we can accomplish together.

Mr. Savas Kalfas

Director, The Auto Business Review Journal
